Crank swap (pending assessment)

The Synapse came stock with 165mm cranks, the Grevil comes with 170mm. Allegedly, the shorter cranks can be nicer on joints, which I definitely would benefit from! Need to assess and determine which crank length actually feels best for my body.

If shorter is better, GRX 610 crank comes in 165mm for ~$180. If longer is better, Sora crankset should be ~$110.

Tail light

Additional safety, and legal compliance at night. Many netizens say that radar is not over-hyped, and is an excellent feature to have. Also, radar lights tend to be ANT+ which means you can get battery readout on the head unit.

Optimal choice: Wahoo Trackr Radar	~$250

New mounting solution on handlebars

Reduce need for front light mount re-adjustment, and keep everything easy to remove for charging/switching between both bikes. Current headlight works just fine and I don't mind the micro USB, but the mount is my enemy...

Proposed solution is two parts:

Additional summer kit

The chamois does indeed really help! If I have more than 2 bottoms, I can go on more long rides. More jerseys necessary because the jersey works better than the fanny pack alternative solution; can also consider cargo bibs (which might also make up for the fact that I only have 1 jersey right now).
Tail light saddle mount

Prevent light being blocked by saddle bag or rear wheel to enhance visibility. Also should be sturdier and easier to access than seatpost mount.

Solution depends on light chosen! Do not do this before completing tail light. Assuming Wahoo Trackr:
